Journal's Unique Profiles

Chinese Approaches for Difficult Diseases (CADD) is a peer-reviewed journal focusing on the introduction and advocacy of clinically verified Chinese traditional approaches and herbs along with new concept, methods, and regimes for detection, intervention, and prevention of difficult-to-treat diseases, such as cancer, hypertension, diabetes, arthritis, obesity, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), which affect about 25% of the world population and consume 75% of medical expenditures.

CADD is sponsored by the Chinese National Center of Colorectal Diseases, 3rd Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Chinese Medical University, Nanjing Health Bureau, China, and the International Union for Difficult-to-treat-Diseases (www.iudd.org). CADD is collaborated with a number of world health organizations to connect the medical professionals around the world in order to deliver the most effective evidence- and value-based, individualized, patient-centered care.

CADD has developed an author-friendly manuscript submission and review system, in which:

  • The authors can choose their preferred format for their manuscripts
  • The online submission process can be finished within 5-7 minutes
  • A decision for the submission can be made within 3-weeks
  • Major grant-supported manuscripts can be published within 2-weeks
  • Authors can request publication of rejected papers with reviewers comments for debate

Journal's Scope

CADD publishes peer-reviewed articles covering all areas of laboratory and clinical medicine with the following types of articles:
